William Tapscott Snead was born on July 5, 1917, in Fork Union, Fluvanna County, Virginia; he was the son of Gilmer Jones Snead (1874-1946) and Charlotte I. (Tapscott) Snead (1894-1966).  William married Josephine Inez Harvey.  William passed away on March 28, 1990, in Fluvanna County, Virginia, and is buried at Fork Union Cemetery, Fork Union, Fluvanna County, Virginia.
