Martin Roberts Turner was born on October 6, 1926, in Faber, Nelson County, Virginia; he was the son of Milton Hamilton Turner (1894-1985) and Stella Ware (Harris) Turner (1895-1990).  Martin married Frances Estelle Johnson on May 21, 1950, in Waynesboro, Augusta County, Virginia.  Martin passed away on January 7, 2002, in Charlottesville, Virginia, and is buried at Scottsville Cemetery, Scottsville, Virginia.
