Lindsay Gordon Dorrier was born on August 22, 1919, in Scottsville, Albemarle County, Virginia; he was the son of Charles Richard Dorrier (1885-1966) and Clara Lee (Pitts) Dorrier (1889-1951).  Lindsay married Anne Shirley Bruce on October 14, 1941, in Scottsville, Virginia.  Lindsay passed away on August 18, 1996, in Scottsville, Virginia, and is buried in Scottsville Cemetery.
