Lindsay Allen Herndon was born on July 8, 1922, in Scottsville, Fluvanna County, Virginia; he was the son of John Allen Herndon and Mary E. (Hurt) Herndon.  Lindsay married Freida Lamb on July 2, 1948, in Scottsville, Virginia.  Lindsay passed away on December 15, 1988, in Scottsville, Virginia, and is buried in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Scottsville.
