John Woodrow McGuire was born on December 29, 1921 in Scottsville, Fluvanna County, Virginia; he was the son of Charles Henry McGuire (1885-1960) and Annie Elizabeth (Dolan) McGuire (1894-1945).  John married Emma Jean Poist (1920-2002).  John passed away on October 7, 1996, and is buried in Brookview Cemetery, Rising Sun, Cecil County, Maryland.
