John Henry Johnson was born on March 18, 1929, in Albemarle County, Virginia; he was the son of George Scott Johnson, Sr., and Mary Catherine (Fortune) Johnson.  In the 1930 and 1940 U.S. Federal Census, John was living with his parents in Scottsville, Albemarle County, Virginia.  John passed away on October 31, 1960, in Albemarle County, Virginia, at 31 years of age.  John is buried at the New Green Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery in Esmont.
