Henry Lewis Thompson was born on September 26, 1915, in Scottsville, Fluvanna County, Virginia; he was the son of Charles Edwin Thompson and Bessie Ellen (Kirby) Thompson.  Henry married Elva Texie Bourne on July 4, 1952, in Palmyra, Fluvanna County, Virginia.  Henry passed away on September 3, 2001, in Charlottesville, Virginia, and he is buried in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Scottsville, Virginia.
