Harry Harris was born on March 6, 1913, in Scottsville District, Albemarle County, Virginia; he was the son of Oscar Harris and Rebecca (Johnson) Harris.  After his Army service in WWII, Harry returned to Scottsville, Virginia, where he resided until he passed away on April 14, 1982.  Harry is buried at the New Green Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery in Esmont, Virginia.
