Everett Sturm, Jr. was born on September 30, 1923, in Forsyth County, North Carolina; he was the son of Everett Sturm, Sr., and Mary E. (Hunter) Sturm.  On July 3, 1947, Everett married Dorothy Arlene Herndon of Scottsville, Virginia, in Fluvanna County, Virginia.  Everett passed away on February 11, 1960, in Orleans, Louisiana, and is buried at the Port Hudson National Cemetery in Zachary, East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana.
