Charles Bernard Brown was born on April 6, 1924, in Esmont, Albemarle County, Virginia; he was the son of Edward Charles Brown (1887-1959) and Ada (Feggans) Brown (1890-1970).  Charles married Clara Louise Bruce on November 13, 1946, in Richmond, Virginia.  Charles passed away on August 24, 1984, in Charlottesville, Virginia, and is buried at New Green Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery in Esmont, Virginia.
