Alan Hilbert Crenshaw was born on July 4, 1927, in Scottsville, Fluvanna County, Virginia; he was the son of James Augustus Crenshaw (1882-1975) and Nellie Eva (Glass) Crenshaw (1892-1976).  Alan married Ruby Louise Morris on June 22, 1968, in Fluvanna County, Virginia.  Alan passed away on April 28, 1993, in Charlottesville, Virginia; he is buried at Wesley's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Antioch, Fluvanna County, Virginia.
