Mountain View Farm

Name:  Mountain View

Comments:  Mountain View was a farm on Mt. Vista Road near Scottsville that was owned in the early 1900's by Captain John Lee Pitts.  It became the home of John's son, Lindsay Pitts, after World War I and in 2001 is now known as the Spangler farm.  See the below photograph for another view of this farm in in the early 1900's.

These photographs are part of the Kathleen (Phillips) McNamara collection.  Kathleen resides in Scottsville and is the granddaughter of Captain John Lee Pitts and Helen Amanda (Burgess) Pitts; Kathleen is the daughter of Katherine Elizabeth Pitts.  Lindsay Pitts was Kathleen's uncle.
