Comments:  Members of the Piedmont Berry Grower Association pose in front of their headquarters at the northeast corner of Page and West Main in Scottsville. This association marketed their dairy produce and fresh berries (strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries) for about three years, operating out of an old house on Lot 166.  After the Association went out of business, this lot was purchased by Dr. Harris, who tore the house down.  In its place, he built the Harris House at 230 West Main from bricks that came from the demolished Brady Building on Main and Valley Streets.
